UPDATE: Elite Season 6 has a release date! FINALLY! It’s been revealed at Netflix’s global fan event, Tudum, that the show’s sixth (and possibly final) season will be released on the streaming platform on November 18th later this year! This means that we are not going to have to wait that long at all before the season is finally upon us!
Elite is easily one of Netflix’s best-performing and most popular shows, but what’s happening with Elite Season 6? Is it happening, and if so, when could the sixth season be released on Netflix? These are all questions I’m going to try and answer for you in this article. The fifth season of the show has really set things up for an incredible sixth season. The first season was released on Netflix on 5 October 2018.
It received positive reviews from critics and audiences, with many hailing the series as a “guilty pleasure”, and praising its writing, acting and portrayal of mature themes. In October 2018, the series was renewed for a second season, which was released on 6 September 2019. A third season was ordered by Netflix in August 2019 and was released on 13 March 2020.

In May 2020 and February 2021, Netflix renewed the series for a fourth and fifth season. The fourth season was released on 18 June 2021, with the fifth season released on 8 April 2022. In October 2021, Netflix renewed the series for a sixth season. It’s unclear whether this sixth season will be the show’s final season or not.
As for what happened in Elite Season 5, the season starts off in the aftermath of Armando’s death at the hands of Guzmán, Samuel and Rebeka are keeping the truth about what happened from everyone, including best friend, Omar. However, all of this changes when his body is discovered, and it sets off a chain events changes that rips their relationships apart and changes their lives forever. In a flash-forward, Samuel’s body is discovered floating in a pool, with every plot leading to how he got there and finding out what actually happened.
Also, two new students – Isadora and Iván – begin attending Las Encinas and soon form bonds with the current class of students, mainly Phillipe and Patrick, but some of these relationships prove to be more deadly than others.

It was just revealed at this year’s Tudum – Netflix’s global fan event – that Elite Season 6 will be released on November 18th, 2022. So, after what seemed like months – no, years – of waiting, we finally have our release date for the upcoming season of everybody’s favourite Spanish-language series. I mean, maybe, not everybody’s favourite, but it’s definitely one of the most popular Spanish-language shows out there at the moment.
There are a plethora of shows on Netflix that are in Spanish. I think it all really started with Money Heist, which ended up becoming something of a global phenomenon. We then saw shows like Valeria, The House Of Flowers, Top Boy, Cable Girls and then Elite, to name but a few, become very popular with Netflix subscribers. Spanish shows are doing pretty good numbers on the streaming platform. I think the last one that did really good numbers was Welcome To Eden, which performed very well on the streamer.

The series stars Omar Ayuso as Omar Shanaa, Carla Díaz as Ariadna “Ari” Blanco Commerford, Martina Cariddi as Mencía Blanco Commerford, Manu Ríos as Patrick Blanco Commerford, Pol Granch as Phillipe Florian von Triesenberg, Andrés Velencoso as Armando de la Ossa and Diego Martín as Benjamín Blanco.
The actors and characters that were introduced in Season 5 include Valentina Zenere as Isadora Artiñán, André Lamoglia as Iván Carvalho, Carloto Cotta as Cruz Carvalho and Adam Nourou as Bilal Ibrahim. It’s already been revealed that Elite Season 6 will add new actors to the show’s cast, including Álvaro de Juana, Carmen Arrufat, Ana Bokesa, Álex Pastrana and Ander Puig.

So, what’s going to happen in Elite Season 6? That’s the big question that fans of the show are desperate to have answered. Well, following the death of yet another student (how has this school not been shut down yet…?), Las Encinas enters a new school year determined to cover up for its scandalous past.
However, it seems as though in Elite Season 6, conflicts will continue as racism, sexism, domestic abuse and homophobia run rampant in the halls of the prestigious institution. If the people who are supposedly in charge of the school don’t take action fast, the students will be forced to take it upon themselves to sort out all the issues.
