Doctor Strange 2’s (Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness) trailer has been released and it confirms that Sir Patrick Stewart will be playing a variant of Professor X in the movie.

You can check out the movie’s trailer below (and it’s incredible by the way):

There have been rumours for months – years really – that Sir Patrick Stewart was going to be cameoing in Doctor Strange 2.

Well, it looks like the movie’s trailer has confirmed that Doctor Strange 2 is going to feature Stewart as seemingly a variant of Charles Xavier.

There’s a moment in the trailer, when a mysterious man who’s face you don’t see says: “We should tell him the truth”.

Well, that is the voice of Sir Patrick Stewart. That voice is unmistakable.

It was also confirmed that the scene in question was filmed in London, which makes me believe that this scene was part of the recent reshoots which took place in the UK’s capital.

Patrick Stewart’s Professor X will be in Doctor Strange 2

There is an awful lot of stuff in this trailer, but I wanted to focus a bit of why there might be an alternate version of Stewart’s Charles Xavier in the movie.

Well, Doctor Strange will be delving into the Multiverse in this movie, and it seems as though he’s going to cause some chaos.

This will then put him in front of some tribunal of the Multiverse’s most powerful beings.

Naturally, that would include Charles Xavier, who’s often been described as one of the most powerful being in Marvel Comics.

It’s going to be so cool and fun to see this all unfold in Sam Raimi’s upcoming Marvel movie.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness will be in cinemas in the US on May 6th.
