Josh Brolin’s Cable meets Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in this new hilarious trailer for Deadpool 2. Check it out here.
Deadpool 2’s marketing campaign has been spot on. The film looks fucking hilarious (if you’d pardon my French) and it’s action-packed. This is exactly what we want from a Deadpool movie. The first film was something of a surprise hit and ended up breaking all sorts of box office records. Deadpool 2 will be helmed by a new director, John Wick’s David Leitch, but it still looks like it’ll keep that same Deadpool vibe we came to love from the first movie.
We’ve already had a brief teaser for the movie in which Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool paid homage to Bob Ross’ The Joy of Painting. Yesterday, Reynolds tweeted the film’s poster which echoed 1983’s Flashdance, but nothing really compares to this new trailer which showcases a lot more of Josh Brolin’s Cable as well as more action. It also had a little reference to Pixar’s brilliant movie, Toy Story.
I love this trailer, and I really like the look of Deadpool 2. It feels just right, and I think that Reynolds is nailing the irreverent nature of the comic book character. He was literally born to play this role. Thank God he got a second chance to play the superhero after his awful first attempt in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The memory of that movie still makes me shudder from time to time.
