Amber Heard’s Mera Is Only In One Shot Of Aquaman 2’s Trailer

The very first trailer for DC Studios’ Aquaman 2 has finally been released, and the movie, strangely enough, looks pretty decent. However, the trailer only features one shot of Amber Heard’s Mera, which adds fuel to the rumours swirling around the Internet that Warner Bros. Pictures and James Wan have been doing everything they can to reduce the actress’ time in the movie.

This all comes after the very public Depp vs Heard trial, which is now the subject of a Netflix docuseries! During the trial, it was revealed that Warner Bros executives and Aquaman producers wanted to give the actress less time in the movie because she lacked any real on-screen chemistry with the movie’s star, Jason Momoa.

This was then followed up with reports that Warner Bros was actively looking at either replacing Heard in the sequel or just reducing her screen time significantly. There were even some reports suggesting that some people inside Warners wanted to remove the character from the movie entirely.

Well, it seems as though Heard’s Mera will be in the movie, but if the movie’s trailer is anything to go by, she’s going to be in the movie for long. The movie’s new trailer, which was released just minutes ago, featured a lot of Jason Momoa’s Arthur Curry and in a voice-over, he explained that he was now a husband and a father.

How much screen time will Mera have in the movie?

However, rather than showing shots of his supposed wife and the mother of his child, Amber Heard’s Mera, all we saw was Arthur’s son and his baby clothes hanging up to dry. There was no sign of Mera anywhere.

That said, we did eventually get to see the character for quite literally a split second. The shot was so quick it was a ‘blink-and-you’ll-miss-it’ moment. It was so quick that I found it very difficult to screenshot it! But I managed!

So, what does all of this mean? Does this mean that Heard’s character is barely going to be in the movie? Perhaps… Could it be that Warner Bros. Pictures and the people behind the marketing of this movie didn’t think it would be a good idea to advertise too heavily the fact that Heard’s in the film? Possibly…

I actually think it might be a combination of both. I think she’ll have very little screen time in the film, and I think that the people who cut this trailer and the people behind the film’s marketing don’t want to remind people that the actress is going to be in the film. It’s all a bit silly because we all know that she’s in the film.

We’re just going to have to wait and see how much of the movie she ends up being in. I have heard people suggest that she’s only going to be in the film for 15 minutes in total. Given what we’ve seen in this trailer, I think she’ll be in the film even less than that.

Authur Curry’s mother, played by Nicole Kidman, has more screen time in this Aquaman 2 trailer, and I wonder whether she’s going to play a much more important role in this sequel than Mera will. It’ll be very interesting to see how this all unfolds.
