A Doctor Strange Cameo In WandaVision Was Cut From The Disney Plus Show

It’s been revealed that a Doctor Strange cameo was actually planned for WandaVision, but they ended up cutting it from the MCU show.

This report comes to us from Daniel Richtman via his Patreon page, and it is a pretty interesting bit of news.

Now, I have said that we should take Richtman’s scoops with a pinch of salt in the past.

However, I have contacted my sources whom I know to have closes ties to Marvel Studios and they confirmed that Richtman’s scoop is correct.

Apparently, they planned to have Benedict Cumberbatch appear as Doctor Strange in WandaVision.

However, they opted to cut the cameo in order not to detract from the story that Kevin Feige and Jac Schaeffer wanted to tell in WandaVision.

So, it sounds like there were conversations that they were having internally at Marvel Studios about bringing Doctor Strange into the show.

It would have been a very brief cameo – possibly in a posts credits scene.

One thing I was told by my sources was that Cumberbatch agreed to appear in the show, and he was going to be part of the tenth episode that Matt Shakman revealed they had planned originally.

Yet, that episode was cut and the story was told in nine episodes rather than ten.
