A Live-Action Assassin’s Creed TV Series In The Works At Netflix

It’s been revealed today that Netflix is working on a live-action Assassin’s Creed TV series and they’re working on it with Ubisoft.

This was revealed via one of Netflix’s Twitter account today.

They wrote: “Netflix + Assassin’s Creed”.

It was also revealed that Netflix and Ubisoft will be working closely on this new TV project together.

This would be the second live-action series on Netflix which is based on a video game.

The first one was The Witcher which turned out to be a huge success.

They are currently working on the second season as we speak.

Netflix has also made an animated version of Castlevania, which is brilliant by the way.

This new Netflix Assassin’s Creed TV show will be produced in direct partnership with the aforementioned publisher and that head of Ubisoft’s Film & Television division, Jason Altman, is on board as executive producer alongside Danielle Kreinik.

Of the newly-formed relationship, Netflix VP Peter Friedlander said the following via press release:

We’re excited to partner with Ubisoft and bring to life the rich, multilayered storytelling that Assassin’s Creed is beloved for. From its breathtaking historical worlds and massive global appeal as one of the best selling video game franchises of all time, we are committed to carefully crafting epic and thrilling entertainment based on this distinct IP and provide a deeper dive for fans and our members around the world to enjoy.
