Deadpool 2 Star Reportedly Being Considered To Play Iron Fist In The MCU

Now, this is an interesting one. There are reports that Marvel Studios is looking to cast a new actor to play Iron Fist in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and they’re looking at Deadpool 2 star, Lewis Tan.

Tan played Shatterstar in Deadpool 2 and he was perfect casting for the role. He was both brilliant and funny in the role, and it looks like he might be getting to play another Marvel Comics character.

It had been reported previously that Marvel was looking to drop Finn Jones as Iron Fist and recast the role, and there are reports that they may have cast Lewis Tan as the character.

These reports come courtesy of We Got This Covered, so please, take it with a pinch of salt.

That said, it is true that Marvel is looking to replace Finn Jones as Iron Fist, who played the role in the Netflix Marvel TV show and their crossover TV show, The Defenders.

It’s a bit of a shame that they decided to part ways with Jones since in all honesty, he wasn’t terrible as Iron Fist.

Would Lewis Tan be good casting for Iron Fist?

He wasn’t the problem with that show, and he shared brilliant on-screen chemistry with Mike Colter who was playing Luke Cage.

It sounds like Colter might have been let go as well as Luke Cage, which is also a shame, however, it seems like Kevin Feige is really trying to choose his own Luke Cage and Iron Fist.

There had been reports that Tan might be playing Nightwing in the MCU, but since it’s looking like they’ve completely abandoned Ben Affleck’s Batman script, that may no longer happen.
