So, let’s start off with whether Hannibal Season 4 is happening or not? The short answer is no, not at the moment.

However, there’s a long answer here, and that’s that Hannibal Season 4 could end up being renewed, but it all depends on which network ends up picking up the series. Netflix seems to be the most obvious contender for the show.

The series is on Netflix right now. However, Hannibal is still an NBC show, and Netflix might have to purchase the rights of the series from them if they want to make a fourth season. This wouldn’t be the first time that Netflix picked up an NBC series.

It’s also been posited that Amazon Prime Video would be a great shout for Hannibal Season 4. The series is available to stream in certain areas on the platform, and Amazon’s social media accounts have been sharing Hannibal-related content (gifs, memes and even some videos).

Also, after Amazon acquired MGM Studios, they now basically have all the rights needed to make a very interesting Hannibal Season 4. They have the rights to use characters such as Clarice Starling and Buffalo Bill.

The really interesting new development is that there’s a petition on Change.org that’s been making the rounds. This petition is calling for Hannibal Season 4 to be renewed. The petition has recently hit over 26K signatures on Change.org, which isn’t a number to be sniffed at.

We actually interviewed two of the people behind the Hannibal Season 4 renewal petition. They go back Trending Hannibal on social media, and they were just great! You can check out the interview in our podcast, The Small Screen Podcast, below.

It was also revealed that the series’ creator, Bryan Fuller, has signed the petition. Bryan Fuller was the brains behind the show, and he’s expressed an interest in getting Hannibal up and going again.

Fuller’s been talking about getting Hannibal Season 4 made ever since the show was cancelled back in 2015. He’ll surely be hoping that someone like Netflix ends up picking up the series and he’ll get to make the fourth season he was planning to make.

As far as a release date for Hannibal Season 4’s concerned, we’ll only have an inkling of when that could be based on whenever the show ends up being renewed. That said, I would expect a Season 4 to be with us in 2024, and I think it would end up being huge for Netflix.

As for who could star in Hannibal Season 4, the show’s original cast have all said that they would love to come back. The likes of Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy, Caroline Dhavernas, Hettienne Park, Laurence Fishburne, Scott Thompson, Aaron Abrams and Gillian Anderson could all return for a fourth season.

Mads and Hugh have both made it very clear in interviews that they would love to return for another season. The show wouldn’t work without them, so whoever ends up making a fourth season will have to ensure that Mads and Hugh both return for another season.
