In comics, Hush is actually called Dr. Thomas “Tommy” Elliot and was a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne’s.

However, he comes to resent Bruce after he inherited his family’s fortune following the murder of his parents while Tommy’s efforts to kill his own parents and gain their fortune failed.

He discovers Bruce was Batman, and then takes on the persona of Hush and sets out to take Batman down.

However, Batwoman’s version of the character will be slightly different.

He grows up to be a real estate mogul who’s obsessed with Bruce Wayne and knows he’s Batman.

He blames Batman for ruining his life by saving his mother prompting Tommy to want revenge.
