Spider-Man And J. Jonah Jameson Might Cameo In The Morbius Movie

There are reports that Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson could end up appearing in the upcoming Morbius movie which Sony Pictures is developing.

There have been a lot of reports claiming that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be turning up in Venom 2, which is currently in development and will see return Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock (a.k.a. Venom).

However, Venom 2 will be directed by Andy Serkis this time around – who’s now in talks to star as Alfred Pennyworth in Matt Reeves’ The Batman.

The first Venom movie was directed by Ruben Fleischer who decided to pass on making the sequel and hand over the reins to Serkis.

Fleischer has since directed Zombieland: Double Tap, which released to pretty positive reviews.

Anyway, back to Morbius. According to We Got This Covered’s source, Sony Pictures wants Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and J.K. Simmons’ J. Jonah Jameson to cameo in the Morbius film.

Their sources also told them that the Jameson scene would involve him interview Jared Leto’s Morbius, which I think would be an excellent scene.

Leto’s been in a tough place of late after Joaquin Phoenix’s incredible performance as Arthur Fleck in Todd Phillips’ Joker, and it was revealed that Leto tried to get Warner Bros. Pictures to stop the film from being made.

Hopefully, he’ll be able to win back some good faith as Morbius and will be a big part of Sony’s planned Spider-Man Cinematic Universe (or SMCU).
