Warner Bros. Pictures Delays Shazam: Fury Of The Gods Until 2023

It’s been revealed that the next Shazam movie, Shazam: Fury Of The Gods, has been delayed by Warner Bros. Pictures until 2023.

This shouldn’t really come as a huge surprise anymore.

It really seems as though all movie studios are now pushing their big blockbuster releases as far back as they can.

This is all due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the fact that people just aren’t’ going to the cinemas.

There’s also the fact that with social distancing rules in place, cinemas can only sell at most half of their tickets.

It depends on the area, however, most counties now demand that you be seated at least 1 or in some cases 2 metres away from the nearest person.

This means that cinemas can sell out a showing, yet the auditorium will only be half full at most.

This has lead to movie studios opting not to release their blockbusters because they know they won’t be able to make their money back.

The news that Shazam: Fury Of The Gods had been delayed to 2023 came from ComicBook.com.

Director David F. Sandberg also tweeted out about the news.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods is now a summer 2023 film. WB was like ‘can’t you just use fake beards on the kids?’ and I was like ‘If Tom Cruise is going to space for real then we can wait for the kids to grow real beards! It’s an important plot point.
