He landed a leading role in a Marvel movie, but Simu Liu is definitely keen for future MCU projects.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Shang-Chi star spoke about his future in the MCU.
During the interview, he expressed a desire to hopefully team up with an array of Marvel’s greatest superheroes.
With the endgame to eventually one day appear in the fifth Avengers movie.

In the press tour for Shang-Chi, Liu has not been coy about some of the heroes he’d like to collaborate with.
Spider-Man, Captain America and Captain Marvel are some of the heroes Liu would like to see Shang-Chi link up with.
However, there’s one project that’s clearly high on the priority list for Liu, and that’s to link up with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes:
In terms of what’s next, I know what’s on my mind is the same as what’s on everybody else’s mind, and hopefully, there’s an Avengers in the future.
However, in an interview with Collider, Kevin Feige emphasised that time is needed before another Avengers film reaches audiences:
I think we want there to be a reasonable amount of time from the Endgame to start a new saga, which is already underway and already started. And then you need time, as you did in Phase 1, to build that saga before you start bringing everyone together.
Avengers: Endgame was always going to be a tough act to follow.
With many heroes, such as Iron Man, Black Widow and Steve Rogers’s Cap all departing the MCU, the space is there for new heroes to fill that void.
Whatever Marvel have up their sleeve for Phase 4 and beyond, we can’t wait!
