Sam-Raimi-Finally-Speaks-About-Spider-Man-3’s-Peter-Dance

Sam Raimi has FINALLY spoken out about Peter Parker’s infamous dance in Spider-Man 3, which I’m sure many of you have been wondering where the idea for that scene came from.

Raimi was asked about the scene during an interview with Fandom.

The scene in question features Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and he’s dressed all in black.

He starts to strut in the street and then buys and black suit and starts to dance in the street.

After this scene, Peter goes on a date with Bryce Dallas Howard’s Gwen Stacey and he ends up dancing with her in front of Mary Jane Watson.

The scene was supposed to show Peter Parker’s more confident side and it ended up being really, really goofy.

Sam Raimi thought that the Peter Parker dance scene in Spider-Man 3 was funny

Here’s what Sam Raimi had to say about Peter Parker’s dance in Spider-Man 3:

Well, we meant it to be funny, actually. It was Peter Parker’s version — this lame kid — of what it must be like to be his evil self. But he’s so whipped. He’s so out of it that that’s his take on it. And that didn’t go over well with the audience. But that’s what we were trying to do. So I’m not surprised that people… I’m glad people find it funny! We we wanted it to be fun.
