Riz Ahmed has revealed that he will not be in the upcoming Venom sequel, Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage, which was to be expected. He revealed this during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Riz Ahmed is a brilliant actor, and he’s been in some pretty big blockbusters over the last few years. It’s now looking like he’s going to be nominated for his performance in The Sound Of Metal.

He was recently talking about his time in Venom and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He was specially asked whether he would be returning to either franchise in the likes of the upcoming Andor series or Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage.

Here’s what Riz Ahmed had to say when he was asked whether he would be in Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage:

I think I’m done in Venom. It’s pretty conclusive. Dude got blown up in a spaceship.

Ahmed was then asked about his Rogue One character and whether he might be making an appearance in the Andor series which is being made for Disney Plus. Here’s what Ahed replied:

I just haven’t heard of that, to be honest.

It very much sounds as if Ahmed’s time in both franchises is over, which is a shame. However, given how his characters ended up in both those franchises, it’s to be expected.
