It’s been revealed that Rege-Jean Page is now the new favourite to be named as the next actor to play James Bond. This has been revealed by OddsChecker.com.

It seems as though Tom Hardy is no longer the favourite to be the next James Bond. He’s been overtaken in the betting market by Bridgerton’s Rege-Jean Page.

Page now sits at +400, or an implied 20% chance to become the next Bond. As for fellow British actor, Hardy has fallen to +500, or an implied 16.7% chance. Also moving up the odds market is Game of Thrones star Richard Madden, who’s given +700 odds or an implied 12.5% chance.

That said, bettors do see things slightly differently. As far as the bettors are concerned, Page is the favourite with 16.1% of bets over the last 7 days. Superman and The Witcher actor Henry Cavill, +1300 odds, is second with 9.8% of bets. Madden is third with 8.9%. Rounding out the top five are Hardy and Rocketman’s Jamie Bell, +1400.

Here’s what OddsChecker spokesman Kyle Newman had to say about the current race to be the next actor to play 007:

The race to become the next James Bond has become tight at the top. It’s no longer Hardy’s to lose. Page, Hardy and Madden all have a legitimate chance with a betters liking a few longer shots. But of course, the big news is that Rege-Jean Page has shot up the odds boards and he’s now the favourite. Keep an eye on this market, as it’s become a free for all.
