Regé-Jean Page is becoming quite the sought after actor, as he has been confirmed to star in a reboot of The Saint for Paramount.

Following on from scene-stealing work on Netflix’s Bridgerton, Page has been linked with a handful of roles, most notably that of James Bond’s tuxedo.

However, as per The Hollywood Reporter, Page has landed the lead role in a reboot of The Saint TV series, that coincidentally starred ex-007 actor Roger Moore.

The Saint is based on a series of novels by Leslie Charteris about a man who in a similar vein to a certain figure dressed in green, robs from the wealthy, and distributes some of that wealth that to the poor.

Page will star as the lead character Simon Templar, while it’s been confirmed he will also executive produce the film.

Additionally, Paramount has hired playwright and actor Kwame Kwei-Armah to write a new draft of the script.

As most recently as last year, Dexter Fletcher was attached to direct a reboot of The Saint, with Chris Pine in the lead role.

Having completed filming on The Gray Man, and with a role in the new Dungeons & Dragons film, Page’s diary is certainly getting rather crowded.

Could this prevent him from getting a phone call about a license to kill? Time will tell.
