Ewan McGregor has teased Star Wars fans about his upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.
In an interview with Deadline following his Emmy win for Halston, the actor teased what’s in store for the Star Wars spin-off series.
Having portrayed the popular character in the Prequel trilogy, McGregor is all set to reacquaint himself with the Force once more.
Filming Obi-Wan Kenobi series was a “very different experience” says Ewan McGregor
During the interview, McGregor confirmed that the series has wrapped production.
He also teased fans about what is to come:
We finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun. I really enjoyed working with Deborah Chow (director/executive producer), and I think it will not disappoint.
When asked about how filming the series differed from his experience working on the prequels, he said:
The new technology that we employed doing it is cool, and it was a different experience than making the original three films that I did.
Plot details for the show are still, for now, being shrouded in secrecy.
It is expected to air next year.
As well as McGregor returning, Hayden Christensen is also set for a return as Anakin/Darth Vader.
Joel Edgerton, Maya Erskine, Rupert Friend, Moses Ingram, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kan, Simone Kessell, Kumail Nanjiani, Bonnie Piesse, Benny Sadie and Indira Varma are all set to appear in the series as well.
