BRILLIANT

The mid-season finale (Legacies Season 4 Episode 9) is here, just in time for Christmas and Legacies has left with an explosive shake-up.

Saying goodbye is always difficult, but this goodbye felt right, but how long are we saying goodbye for?

Surely it can’t be forever as there is still it like it might be for now.

Since we met Josie (Kaylee Bryant), she has been struggling to come to terms with what is expected from her.

After the events in the previous episode, it was unknown what was going through Josie’s head.

However, in this episode, we said a shocking and emotional goodbye to Kaylee Bryant as a series regular.

This, therefore, ends Josie’s story for now.

Josie was always learning to love herself by herself and she struggled with that.

However, now she has left in one piece, which means there is an opportunity for her to return, but I don’t think we should expect it any time soon.

It’s going to be strange not seeing Josie around, as she was the heart of solving problems on the show.

Therefore, I wonder who will take up Josie’s huge hole.

It is strange that so much emphasis was put on the merge this season and now it feels as if that is going to be forgotten again.

THE PACK NEEDS FINCH

The goodbye between Josie and Finch (Courtney Bandeko) was beautiful, both actresses portrayed it so well.

Thus, now we can hopefully get to learn more about Finch away from relationships.

I think she would make a great pack leader.

However, as I have said in previous episodes, it would be great to learn more about the pack so hopefully, we can now through Finch.

LIZZIE THE HERETIC

While one Saltzman twin is leaving town for a new beginning, the other is having a new beginning of her own.

Since Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) became the tribrid, Lizzie (Jenny Boyd) has been the main person that has wanted to take her down, before it’s too late.

This episode was huge for Lizzie and Boyd pulled it off. There was drama and emotion that was performed faultlessly by Boyd.

After this episode, I do wonder if this is the conclusion to the merge?

Lizzie knew she couldn’t trust Hope fully, so she has hope but she has an insurance policy just in case the worst happens.

I do wonder if we will be told how she got this insurance policy.

Lizzie the Heretic, who saw it coming?

However, this was briefly mentioned at the end of season 3, but I didn’t actually expect it to happen, because no more was said on the subject.

A blood-sucking witch, that is if Lizzie fully transitions. If she does then Hope will have her first sire.

Hope killing Lizzie was a shocking moment and it shows that it is going to take a long time for Hope’s humanity to be switched back on.

Hope killing Lizzie has changed everything between the characters forever.

Lizzie saw Hope as family, but now where do the pair stand with each other.

WILL WE SEE AURORA AFTER LEGACIES SEASON 4 EPISODE 9?

It is going to take a long time for Hope to switch her humanity back on, but I do wonder if Lizzie does transition will the pair team-up.

That would be a really fun duo to watch, as they would both be lethal and dangerous.

Although I do wonder what Hope now wants, will she go after Aurora?

I do wish that Aurora (Rebecca Breeds) and Hope didn’t switch back to their own bodies so quickly.

I would have loved at least another episode of this body swap to really see the damage either could do.

It just felt too easy; thus, I wonder what was the point of the body swap.

The writers could have still have reintroduced Aurora and go with a different angle, which would have still reached the same conclusion we have in this episode.

Aurora is a great character and I hope she comes back during this season.

Surely it can’t be that easy to get rid of her.

Aurora has dark plans and is driven by revenge.

Therefore, I’m excited to see Breeds come back and see what other plans she has in store for the tribrid.

Although, Aurora should watch her back, because the other Michaelson’s won’t be happy to hear of the plants she has in store for their niece.

However, it would be great to see them come back in the second half of the season as well.

WHO IS THE MYSTERIOUS STRANGER?

Alongside all of that, who is this mysterious stranger that is making Kaleb (Chris Lee) and Ethan (Leo Howard) act so weirdly.

He is coming across as the mysterious stranger, but do we have another villain on our hands.

I’m really invested to find out who this guy is and what he is up to.

Both Kaleb and Ethan are part monster now, thanks to Malivore.

Therefore, he is something to do with monsters?

I doubt it’s anything to do with Malivore as that ship has finally sailed.

ETHAN WENT TOO FAR IN LEGACIES SEASON 4 EPISODE 9

The scenes at the school in this episode didn’t really work for me.

Ethan and MG (Quincy Fouse) have always had a good friendship and now the writers have ruined that.

Ethan admits he has lied and done wrong and the reason is that he wants Lizzie to choose him over MG.

Unfortunately, as we haven’t had much screentime with the three of them together to become invested in this love triangle; it just doesn’t work.

WHEN WILL PURGATORY END?

Also, we are still stuck in purgatory with Alaric (Matt Davies), Landon (Aria Shahghasemi) and Ted (Ben Geurens).

These scenes are feeling really repetitive.

I like the dynamic between Shahghasemi and Geurens.

However, at this point, I’m wondering what is the point of these scenes.

I’d rather not see any of this and then discover that they somehow got out of purgatory and a flashback to explain how it happened.

This storyline needs some excitement.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT?

This midseason finale of Legacies Season 4, was full of surprises.

Some storylines are working much better than others.

However, I’m really excited to see what is next.

A lot of questions revolving around the Merge are brought up after this episode, which I hope are delved into soon.

This season has stopped on a high, I hope this quality continues after Christmas.
