John Boyega Says He Wants To Play James Bond With Steve McQueen Directing

John Boyega has revealed that he would love to play James Bond in a future movie directed by Steve McQueen, which sounds like a brilliant idea. He revealed this during an interview with MTV News and we would really love to see him take on the role.

There has been so much said over the past few months as far as who could play James Bond next. No Time To Die will be Daniel Craig’s last outing as Bond, and naturally, people are thinking about who could play the British Secret Agent next.

There has been a plethora of names put in the ring: Tom Hardy, Richard Madden, the bloke from Outlander… One name that’s come up a few time has been John Boyega, and I’ve always thought he’d make a great choice for the role.

He’s now opened up about wanting to play James Bond during a recent interview with MTV News. He also added that he’d like Steve McQueen to direct the picture.

Here’s what John Boyega had to say about playing James Bond in the future:

Hey, listen. With Steve McQueen directing, let’s do this. We could show them something different. We still bring that sophistication. You know, James Bond has to be James Bond. But, we could do something with that.

This is an idea that I am very much behind. John Boyega is a great actor, and would bring something very different to the role. And Steve McQueen is a terrific Oscar-winning director. He’s directed incredible movies such as 12 Years A Slave, Hunger and Shame. He’s a really talented and unique filmmaker.
