It’s being reported that Hayden Christensen is in talks with Lucasfilm to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker for a future Star Wars project.
Star Wars fans have been looking forward to seeing Christensen get to return to the franchise.
He got quite a lot of stick for his performance in the prequel Star Wars movies.
However, his rather wooden performance in those movies wasn’t really all down to him.
It was mostly the result of poor directing and writing.
If he’s given good material and directed properly, I’m pretty sure he would be great in the role.
There are now rumours that he’s been in talks with Disney and Lucasfilm to return as the character in a future Star Wars project.
This rumour comes from Star Wars Stuff on Twitter who reported that the announcement was going to be made at Star Wars Celebration this year.
Hayden Christensen might get to play Anakin Skywalker again
Here’s what Star Wars stuff wrote on Twitter:
Hayden Christensen is reportedly in talks to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker! The scale of the role is still being debated. The reveal is planned to be made at Star Wars Celebration alongside Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano announcement.
Personally, I would love to see him come back to Star Wars as Anakin.
I also think that announcing his return along with the official news that Rosario Dawson is going to be playing Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian Season 2 at Star Wars Celebration would have been huge.
What do you make of this news?
