It’s being reported that Harrison Ford is going to be playing President Ross in the upcoming MCU Armor Wars movie, which I think makes a lot of sense. This comes after it was revealed that Ford would be playing Thunderbolt Ross in the MCU following William Hurt’s passing.
It’s since been revealed that Ford would be first introduced in the upcoming Thunderbolts MCU movie, and that he would be the President of the United States in the movie. So, it sounds as though Ross has ended up winning an election, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
It’s now being reported that the Armor Wars movie, which was initially planned as a Disney Plus series, is now going to be the first Marvel Studios movie to be released straight to Disney’s streaming platform.

So, it’s now been revealed by Giant Freakin Robot that Harrison Ford will return as President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the upcoming Armor Wars movie from Marvel Studios. GFR is reporting that according to their sources, the Indiana Jones actor will join Don Cheadle in the film, which was initially planned as a Disney Plus series.
So, as mentioned above, Armor Wars is going to be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to be released straight to Disney Plus. We last saw Don Cheadle play James Rhodes in The Falcon And The Winter Soldier series.
It’s going to be interesting to see how it all plays out for Ford’s version of Ross in future MCU movies. As it stands, he’s only officially attached to the Thunderbolts movie. However, it seems as though Marvel is planning on using the actor quite a bit in future movies and potentially even TV shows.

As for the upcoming Thunderbolts movie, it’s going to be a sequel to Black Widow and Captain America: New World Order. It’s going to be the thirty-fifth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the eleventh instalment of Phase Five. The film is set to be released on July 26th, 2024.

That’s a pretty impressive cast, and I’m very much looking forward to seeing everyone in action. It was revealed not too long ago that Steven Yeun was cast in the movie, and he’s reportedly going to play an important part in the film.
We still don’t know which Marvel character he’s going to be playing in the movie. However, it sounds as though his character won’t be a ‘one-and-done’ sort of Marvel movie character. I’m hoping that he’ll get to hang around the MCU after this upcoming movie.
As for the Armor Wars movie, the only actor currently attached to it is Don Cheadle. We also have no information about who’s going to direct the movie.
