First Look At Amazon’s Lord Of The Rings Series Revealed

We’re quite ready for another adventure into Middle Earth, as the first look at the new Lord Of The Rings series, produced by Amazon has been revealed.

As reported by Variety, filming on the highly anticipated series has wrapped in New Zealand, and the first official photo was revealed.

As per a tweet from the show’s official account, the show’s premiere date is confirmed to be 2 September 2022.

New Lord Of The Rings series will be focusing on the Second Age of Middle Earth

Plot details about the show are being kept closely under wraps for now.

However, it has been confirmed that the show will focus on the Second Age of Middle Earth, taking place long before the events of both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Confirmed cast members for the show include: Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.

J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay will be the showrunners, while J.A. Bayona will direct the show’s first two episodes.
