It’s been revealed that the Marvel Netflix shows such as Daredevil and The Defenders will be getting 4K upgrades on Disney Plus.
This news was revealed by Disney Plus Help on Twitter.
They were asked by a user whether there would be 4K versions of the Marvel Netflix shows on Disney Plus.
The Twitter user asked:
Are we gonna get 4k dolbyvision back for Daredevil? Was really excited to watch in 4k hdr but will have to wait I guess

Disney Plus Help then answered with the following:

Interestingly enough, Daredevil and the other Marvel shows were in 4K on Netflix.
Strangely, Daredevil, The Defenders, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Punisher and Iron Fist are not available in 4K on Disney Plus.
However, they will be upgraded sooner rather than later.
I mean, the 4K versions already exist.
There might be just a logistic issue with bringing the 4K versions of these Marvel shows to Disney Plus.
Disney Plus claims that they put the shows on their streaming platform in HD and SD first in order to get them on Disney Plus quicker.
