Alicia Vikander Gives Update On Tomb Raider 2

What is going on with Tom Raider 2? Well, Alicia Vikander’s on-hand to give us an update on the Tomb Raider sequel that’s still officially in development.

She opened up about the project during a recent interview with Total Film (via GamesRadar).

Here’s what the Swedish actor had to say about Tomb Raider 2:

When the studio first said they were interested in a sequel, I got really excited. When Misha [Green] was mentioned to me and I saw the work on Lovecraft Country, I was extremely impressed. It’s so much fun on the Zooms I’ve had with Misha to finally sit with another woman my own age. I get to talk about big action set pieces and stunts that we want to make. I’m hoping that we get on track and get to do something together.

Is Tomb Raider 2 going to happen with Alicia Vikander?

So, it sounds as though this project is still very much in development and that things are moving along very nicely with it.

I have to say, when it was revealed that Misha Green was going to be helming the sequel, I was really excited.

She did an incredible job with HBO’s Lovecraft Country and I can’t think of anyone better for Tomb Raider 2 to be honest.

I thought that the first film was fine, but it lacked finesse and direction.

Vikander was perfect in the role, but she was let down by a poor script and poor direction.

Hopefully, the second film will rectify that and Vikander and Green will get to deliver the movie they want to make.
