Spiral: From The Book Of Saw is the next movie in the Saw franchise and its first trailer has just landed.
This movie is going to be pretty different from the others in the franchise.
Why, you ask? Well, I’m glad you did. First off, it stars Chris Rock.
Yes, Chris Rock is going to be in a Saw movie.
Secondly, they’re working off an original story by Chris Rock.
Now, Rock didn’t write the film’s script. That honour fell to Josh Stolberg & Pete Goldfinger
The movie is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman who’s directed previous movies in the Saw franchise.
Spiral: From The Book Of Saw will also star Rock and Samuel L. Jackson, which is mad.
Yes! We’re getting a Saw movie starring Chris Rock and Jackson. Who’d have believed it?
Yet, for all of those Saw fans who are now worried that this film won’t be as gory as the others, you needn’t worry.

Judging by the film’s trailer, Spiral: From The Book Of Saw is going to be as gory as the others, even more so maybe.
Here’s the film’s plot synopsis:
A sadistic mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in SPIRAL, the terrifying new chapter from the book of SAW. Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.
The film stars Chris Rock, Max Minghella, Marisol Nichols, and Samuel L. Jackson, and is produced by the original SAW team of Mark Burg and Oren Koules.
Spiral: From The Book Of Saw is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and written by Josh Stolberg & Pete Goldfinger.
The movie should be in cinemas in the UK on May 15, 2020.
