Only Murders In The Building Season 2 Confirmed

Only Murders In The Building is a series currently airing on Disney Plus which is co-created by and stars Steve Martin and it’s been revealed that Season 2 is happening.

The first season of the show may not have even finished its run on Disney Plus yet, but a second season has already been confirmed.

Set in New York City, the show follows a group of neighbours who group together bonded by their love of murder mystery podcasts to solve a murder in their own apartment block.

Along with Steve Martin, the series also stars Martin Short, Selena Gomez and Amy Ryan, and we follow them as they meet a cast of quirky and eccentric neighbours living under the same roof.

Martin and Short have worked together many times in the past, notably for the Father Of The Bride series in the 90’s as George Banks and Franck Egglehoffer.

John Hoffman who helped create the show with Steve Martin is a multiple-time Emmy winner and produced Grace and Frankie previously stated:

To feel we’ve connected with our audience and hit the mark enough already to have the chance to continue — and to carry on our show’s wild ride of mystery-comedy-empathy — is too exciting for words. So, I’ll shut up now — and just say a huge thanks to all and I can’t wait for more!

Whilst the first season hasn’t finished airing the news suggests either the murder continues unsolved, or perhaps we see another death before the series finale.

The series has received positive critical acclaim since it launched this month and also plays on Hulu in the US.

The next episode of Only Murders In The Building in the UK will release on Tuesday, September 20^th.
