Nicolas Cage’s Tiger King Series Cancelled By Amazon

It’s been revealed that Nicolas Cage’s Tiger King series has been cancelled by Amazon, which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.

Cage revealed this bit of news during a recent interview with Variety.

It was revealed a while back that Amazon had cast Nicolas Cage in the role of Joe Exotic.

At the time, it seemed like a good choice, however, with everything that’s happened regarding Joe Exotic since, it’s probably not the best idea to make another series about the man.

It also seems as though the world has now moved on from Joe Exotic, and that’s to be expected given the Netflix series came out last year and things move pretty fast in the world of pop culture these days.

Here’s what Nicolas Cage had to say on the now cancelled Joe Exotic Amazon series:

We should clear the record. I read two excellent scripts, which I did think were excellent, but I think Amazon ultimately felt that it was material that had become past tense because it took so long for it come together. They felt at one point that it was lightning in a bottle, but that point has since faded into the distance and it’s no longer relevant.
