A New The Simpsons Short Film Is Coming To Disney Plus Tomorrow

A new The Simpsons short film is arriving on Disney Plus tomorrow and it’ll probably be one of the most-watched things on the streaming service.

This news was revealed via Disney Plus’ Instagram account.

The post was a picture of a handwritten note by The Simpsons creator Matt Groening.

In the note, he said: “Greetings, friends! Earlier this year we made a nifty little short film called ‘Playdate with Destiny’.

“The response was so gratifying we wanted everyone to see it at home,” he added. “So here ya go — stream it starting April 10th on Disney+!

“Your pals, Matt & Jim & Al & Matt & David & a buncha hard-working animators, man,”(sic) Groening ended his message to fans.

This upcoming The Simpsons short was originally aired in cinemas before screenings of Pixar’s latest movie, Onward.

The short begins like any other day in Springfield but that’s when Maggie goes on a new adventure.

The synopsis reads: “After a blissful first playdate, Maggie can’t wait to see her new baby beau again the following day, but things don’t go exactly as planned.  Will fate (or Homer) get in her way?”
