Ms Marvel Season 2 is officially in the works for Disney Plus, at least, according to a new report from scooper Daniel Ritchman. We haven’t been able to confirm this report with our own sources, but it would make a lot of sense for Marvel Studios to make another season of the hit new show for Disney Plus.
The first season of this new Marvel series was really well received by both fans and critics. People seemed to love Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan in the first season of the show. We already knew that we were going to see her play the character again in the upcoming MCU movie, The Marvels. It now seems as though the fresh new Marvel superhero is going to be appearing in the MCU movies and she’s also going to be getting to star in more seasons of her hit Disney Plus show!

There were plenty of reasons to love the new series. It was fun, vibrant, different and it also featured a kickass new MCU superhero. The comics had already proven to be very popular and, honestly, I think the series did them justice. It was like watching a comic book come to life, and I think that’s the main reason why I liked the show so much.
I would argue that the first season of Ms Marvel is one of the strongest MCU shows, along with Season 1 of Loki and WandaVision. The rest have been fine, but I just think that Ms Marvel, Loki and WandaVision had that something extra to them that the likes of Hawkeye, The Falcon And The Winter Solider and maybe even She-Hulk just didn’t (or don’t) have. That said, I’ve actually enjoyed each and every one of these shows.
What will Kamala Khan do next?

So, as I mentioned above, the next time we’ll get to see Kamala Khan in the MCU will be in the upcoming film, The Marvels. Principal photography on the movie started back in early August 2021, and it ended in mid-May 2022. They shot the movie at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire and Longcross Studios in Surrey, England. They also shot scenes in Los Angeles and Tropea in the South of Italy.
The movie is scheduled for release in the United States on July 28th, 2023. The film is being directed by one of the most interesting new directors working in Hollywood today, Nia DaCosta. She’s been working off a script by Megan McDonnell. Vellani will be joined in the movie by Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Samuel L. Jackson back as Nick Fury.
