The series is being developed by Hulu and is being produced by legendary filmmaker, Martin Scorsese. Scorsese and Reeves working together? Sounds like a match made in heaven!
Keanu Reeves and Martin Scorsese working together? Sounds perfect to us!
Written in 2003 by Erik Larson, The Devil In The White City focuses on the intertwined fates of an architect and a serial killer following The Chicago World’s Fair of 1893. It’s not yet clear what role Reeves is in talks for, but we imagine since he’s one of the nicest actors around, that he’d play the architect.
The project has been in limbo for a while now as Leonardo DiCaprio bought the film rights to adapt the book in 2010. At one stage, Martin Scorsese was attached to direct the adaption for Paramount.
However, in 2019, Hulu announced in 2019 that the adaptation was being developed into a bid-budget TV series. DiCaprio and Scorsese will serve as executive producers, alongside Rick Yorn, Sam Shaw, Jennifer Davisson and Stacey Sher.
The first two episodes of the series will be directed by Todd Field.
