James Gunn Reveals Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 Will Wrap Up The Guardians’ Story

James Gunn will be working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after he’s done with The Suicide Squad.

It’s been a pretty wild ride to Gunn finally being able to make the third Guardians movie.

I’m pretty sure you all know what happened, but just in case you didn’t, here’s the story.

Gunn posted a bunch of stupid tweets a while ago. Before being employed by Disney and Marvel to make the Guardians movies, he apologised for them.

He revealed that he was trying to be a ‘provocateur’ and that his tweets were offensive and stupid.

Anyway, when Gunn was working on getting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ready, these tweets were unearthed by a YouTuber.

Gunn, Disney and Marvel Studios got a lot of flack, and the decision was made to sack Gunn from the third movie.

He was then picked up with Warner Bros. Pictures to make The Suicide Squad reboot.

Disney then changed its mind and rehired Gunn for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after they realised that no one else could make that movie.

Anyway, Gunn was recently asked during an Instagram Q&A held Saturday afternoon whether Vol. 3 will wrap up the series.

This is what James Gunn had to say about his upcoming Marvel Studios movie.

If everything goes to plan it will wrap up the stories I started in Guardians 1.

This means that this upcoming Guardians movie will be a definite end for the members of the Guardian team we’ve come to know and love.

Now, I’m hoping that they won’t kill them all off, but there might be changes in the Guardians team after this film.

What do you make of this? Are you looking forward to watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?
