Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 4 Will Feature A New Team Of Heroes
It’s been teased by James Gunn that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4 could end up featuring a whole new team of heroes, which would make sense for the MCU.
It hasn’t been an easy road for James Gunn getting to direct the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
He was initially all ready to go on the movie, but he was then fired by Disney.
This came after some old tweets of his were unearthed and I’m going to be honest here, they were pretty bad tweets.
They were meant to be jokes, and Gunn apologised for what he had written in the past.
He referred to himself as a ‘provocateur’ back then and was struggling to find his voice.
Gunn had already apologised for the tweets before he even directed the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
However, he had to leave the project and was then hired by Warner Bros. Pictures to make the next Suicide Squad movie.
He was then rehired by Disney to make Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, so it kind of ended up pretty well for Gunn.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 4 could feature new heroes
Gunn has now been chatting to fans on Instagram about his upcoming Guardians movie, and that’s when he revealed that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be his last MCU movie.
He also revealed that it would probably the last one with the current team.
However, he finished this thought off by adding: “but you never know.”
It does seem as though the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie will be the last one with Star-Lord and co..
It’s not clear which characters will be involved in the future Guardians movies.
There are a bunch of characters from the comics they can choose from, and I’m pretty sure Gunn will tee things up nicely for whoever steps in to take over the Marvel Studios movie franchise.
What do you make of this news?
