George Miller’s Mad Max Prequel Casts Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II

Geogr Miller’s Mad Max prequel has just cast Anya Taylor- Joy, Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, which is an incredible cast.

This upcoming movie will be a prequel and will reveal how Furiosa became the badass character we all came to love in Mad Max: Fury Road.

Unfortunately, this means that the movie won’t feature Charlize Theron as Furiosa.

She seemed pretty upset about that when it was revealed that Miller’s next Mad Max film would be a prequel.

She was really hoping to play the character again.

However, what this means is that we’ll get to know a lot more about Furiosa’s beginnings and maybe even how she lost her arm.

According to Variety, Anya Taylor-Joy will be playing the younger Furiosa.

Miller had said in a past interview with The New York Times that he’d been searching for an actress in her 20s to take over the role.

During this interview, he also revealed that he had considered using de-aging technology which would allow Theron — who’s 44 –to play the part again.

However, he’s has decided against that and opted to cast Taylor-Joy in the role instead.

Miller will direct, co-write and produce Mad Max: Furiosa along with his longtime producing partner Doug Mitchell.

The film will be produced by Miller’s own Australian-based Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner, together with their Mad Max: Fury Road partners Warner Bros. Pictures.
