First Trailer For Jordan Peele’s Candyman Movie Coming This Thursday

It’s been revealed that the first trailer for Nia DaCosta and Jordan Peele’s Candyman movie is going to be released this Thursday.

MGM Studios has released a new teaser trailer for Candyman on Twitter.

The tweet revealed that the film’s first trailer will be released on Thursday.

Candyman is being directed by Ni DaCosta and written by Jordan Peele and Win Rosenfeld.

The film will be a direct sequel to the original 1992 Candyman movie.

The new Candyman movie will see Tony Todd reprises his role as the title character.

Candyman’s cast will also include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, and Colman Domingo.

Here’s the film’s official synopsis:

The original was a landmark film for black representation in the horror genre. Alongside Night of the Living Dead, Candyman was a major inspiration for me as a filmmaker — and to have a bold new talent like Nia at the helm of this project is truly exciting,” Peele said in a statement when the new film was announced. “We are honored to bring the next chapter in the Candyman canon to life and eager to provide new audiences with an entry point to Clive Barker’s legend.

Candyman’s first trailer is coming on Thursday

Shooting on the movie began back in August 2019.

They shot the movie in the Chicago area.

Filming wrapped in September 2019.

This new Candyman movie will hit cinemas on June 12th.
