Ernest Cline’s Ready Player Two Is Now Available To Buy And Fans Are Going Crazy

Today is the day that Ernest Cline’s hotly-anticipated sequel to his smash hit book, Ready Player One is released, and this one’s called Ready Player Two (the perfect title if you ask me). The book is now available to purchase on Amazon.com and people are going bonkers about it.

The book tells the story of Wade Watts, who won the OASIS Founder James Halliday’s contest in the first book. He ended up being announced as the new owner of Halliday’s incredible invention, the OASIS. The OASIS is basically a very, very advanced form of our VR consoles and everybody in this future world is hooked into it.

This sequel has been very much anticipated ever since Ernest Cline announced he was writing it. And now it’s available to buy and people have been freaking out about it on Twitter. I myself have already purchased the audiobook, which is read by the pop culture legend, Wil Wheaton.

Here’s the plot synopsis for Ready Player Two, and it sounds like it’s going to be a lot of fun:

An unexpected quest. Two worlds at stake. Are you ready?

Days after winning OASIS Founder James Halliday’s contest, Wade Watts makes a discovery that changes everything.

Hidden within Halliday’s vaults, waiting for his heir to find, lies a technological advancement that will once again change the world and make the OASIS a thousand times more wondrous – and addictive – than even Wade dreamed possible.

With it comes a new riddle and a new quest – a last Easter egg from Halliday, hinting at a mysterious prize.

And an unexpected, impossibly powerful and dangerous new rival awaits, one who’ll kill millions to get what he wants.

Wade’s life and the future of the OASIS are again at stake, but this time the fate of humanity also hangs in the balance.
