It’s been revealed by Disney’s CEO, Bob Chapek that he’s looking forward to seeing Kathleen Kennedy be the President of Lucasfilm for “many years to come”.

He revealed this information to shareholders on an investor’s call on he had on Tuesday (via Collider).

A lot of people have been calling for Lucasfilm to replace Kathleen Kennedy as its President for quite some time now.

These people are Star Wars ‘fans’ who haven’t been pleased with the movies Lucasfilm has been making over the past few years.

That said, the movies have been widely successful at the box office, and Kennedy has been at the helm of a money-making machine ever since Lucasfilm was bought by Disney.

So, it stands to reason that Disney is happy with Kennedy’s performance as President of Lucasfilm and will naturally want to see her remain in the role for as long as possible.

Here’s what Disney CEO Bob Chapek had to say about wanting Kathleen Kennedy running Lucasfilm for many years to come:

We’ve been absolutely thrilled that we can have the kind of talent like Kathy Kennedy to direct Lucasfilm… We look forward to having Kathleen Kennedy running the Lucasfilm organization for many years to come.

So, it sounds like Chapek and many other people over at Disney are very happy with the job that Kennedy is doing over at Lucasfilm.
