Christopher Nolan Reveals Himself To Be A Fan Of The Fast And Furious Franchise

Christopher Nolan has revealed that he’s actually a fan of the Fast And Furious franchise. He revealed this during a recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, and he actually added that he has a lot of love for Tokyo Drift, which just so happens to be one of my favourites of the franchise as well.

Christopher Nolan, known for movies such as The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Memento, Dunkirk, The Prestige, Interstellar and Tenet, is a fan of the Fast And Furious franchise. Who’d have thought it?

I suppose you have to relax and watch a dumb action movie all the time. They can’t all be Christopher Nolan-esque mind-bending cinematic masterpieces. He admitted that he has a soft spot for Fast And Furious: Tokyo Drift, and I’m so happy to hear that someone else likes that movie. I thought I was all alone on that one.

Here’s what  Christopher Nolan had to say about his love of the Fast And Furious franchise during his interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast:

I’m sort of original recipe… but I’ve got a very soft spot for Tokyo Drift actually. And then with Justin Lin’s iterations, as they got crazier and bigger and crazier and bigger, they became something else, but something else kind of fun.

Nolan is right, something else is kind of fun. I wonder whether he’s looking forward to the next Fast And Furious movie? And what did he make of Hobbs & Shaw? So many questions!
