Bad Boys For Life’s Second Trailer Features More Will Smith And Martin Lawrence Action
Bad Boys For Life is coming to cinemas this January and it sees Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return to the franchise and they’ve just released the film’s second trailer.
Will Smith will be back as Mike Lowrey and Martin Lawrence returns as Marcus Burnett, and if the trailer’s anything to by the film’s trailer, it will end up being rather bombastic with lots of explosions, lots of shooting and lots of fast cars.
In this third instalment in the Bad Boys franchise, things aren’t quite what they used to be between Mike and Marcus.
Will Smith’s Mike is still enjoying life in the fast lane and catching bad guys, whilst Martin Lawrence’s Marcus is enjoying the slower side of life and being a good man as opposed to a ‘bad boy’.
However, the two of them are forced to work together again when they find out that someone is trying to kill Mike, who enlists the help of his buddy for life, Marcus, to try and figure out who’s behind the hit.
Bad Boys For Life’s Trailer Gets The Blood Pumping
The film is directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Will Smith himself who was key in getting this project off the ground.
Bad Boys back in 1995 was directed by Michael Bay and was a huge box office smash for its day grossing $141 million worldwide – $65,807,024 in North America and $75,600,000 overseas – despite receiving mixed reviews from the critics.
Bad Boys did so well, that it got a sequel, Bad Boys II, which received rather poor reviews from critics but did pretty well at the box office, amassing a worldwide total of $273 million.
However, Michael Bay’s second Bad Boys film cost a lot more than the first. They had a budget of $130 million, so the film ended up breaking even.
