Aquaman 2 Will Reportedly Feature More Of Amber Heard As Mera

It’s being reported that Aquaman 2 will actually feature more of Amber Heard as Mera rather than less. This report comes from Mikey Sutton’s Geekosity, and it might not be the thing that Johnny Depp supporters want to hear right now.

There’s been a huge swell of support for Johnny Depp over the last few days after it was revealed that he lost his libel case against The Sun. He was then asked to leave the Fantastic Beasts franchise by Warner Bros. Pictures, and people started to get really annoyed.

People are now really turning on Amber Heard, who is Depp’s ex-wife and the one claiming that she was a victim of domestic abuse whilst they were married. There have been all sorts of recordings of the two of them arguing, and as far as I’m concerned, they were as bad as one another. Sometimes people just aren’t good for one another.

We also revealed yesterday that the petition to have Amber Heard removed from Aquaman 2 is reaching 1 million signatures which is huge. However, it sounds like Warner Bros. Pictures will not be removing her from the movie. According to new reports, they’ll actually be expanding her role in the next movie.

Here’s what Mikey Sutton wrote about Amber Heard returning for Aquaman 2 and possibly getting even more screen time than she did in the first movie:

An insider told me that, since the judge believed that The Sun’s allegations of Depp as a wife-beater were accurate, Heard is seen as the victim in this scandal by WB. Consequently, firing her would be in poor taste and could cause a backlash. Apparently, Heard will actually have a larger role in Aquaman 2 for reasons unrelated to this situation. WB would like to see her character more fleshed out.
