It’s been revealed that Netflix has cancelled Idris Elba’s show Turn Up Charlie after just one season and fans are not very happy with this.
The show starred Elba as Charlie, a struggling DJ and eternal bachelor.
In the first season, Charlie is still trying to make it big as a DJ, but he ends up becoming a manny to his famous friend’s daughter.
The first season was pretty funny and I thought it deserved at least one more season.
However, it was revealed by Variety that Netflix has pulled the plug on the TV show.
This didn’t go down well at all with fans of the show who then took to social media to complain.
Fans aren’t happy with Netflix for cancelling Idris Elba’s show, Turn Up Charlie
Just looking at the number of tweets about the show’s cancellation proves how much of a following Turn Up Charlie had.
Most of that might be down to the fact that Idris Elba was a very good lead.
Here’s some of the things people said about the show being cancelled:

It really does sound as if people are genuinely upset about Netflix’s decision to pull the plug on the show.
However, this isn’t the first time they’ve ended a show before its time.
I remember being really upset about Netflix cancelling Santa Clarita’s Diet after just three seasons.
I thought that show was brilliant and deserved a proper ending to the one we got.
