It’s been revealed that Money Heist Season 5 has now officially wrapped filming, and this means that the final part of the series will be going officially into post-production.
This was revealed via Netflix’s official Twitter account, and they also posted an image of the whole cast on the set of Money Heist Season 5.
They added the following caption to the image:
What started as a heist, ended as a family. It’s a wrap on Part 5 of La Casa de Papel / Money Heist. Thank you to all the fans for being part of La Resistencia! We can’t wait to show you how this story ends.
Money Heist has turned into one of Netflix’s biggest hits over the years.
It’s huge overseas and last year it became a huge hit in English-speaking regions too.
This is happening more and more with Netflix’s content that’s not in the English language.
The likes of Lupin, Call My Agent and Dark have all done very well on the streaming platform.
Moving forward, Netflix will be focusing more on their content produced overseas and I think that’s a brilliant strategy.

So, when should we expect Money Heist Season 5 to be on our screens?
Well, we’ve been informed that they are aiming for an end of 2021 release date.
It will be coming out in Q4 of 2021, that’s for sure.
Given this is the show’s final season, they want to make sure they get it right.
Therefore they’ve been spending a bit longer on it.
They were also forced to shoot for a bit longer due to the pandemic.
That’s been the case with many of Netflix’s shows.
The Witcher Season 2 also recently just finished shooting and that was supposed to be completed a while ago.
