Marvel Looking At Shaka King To Direct Their Blade Film

It’s being reported that Marvel is currently looking at director Shaka King to helm their upcoming Blade movie.

The movie will star Mahershala Ali as the titular Blade, yet it still doesn’t have a director.

This is pretty unusual as the film is scheduled to start production pretty soon, so Marvel better get its act together, and sharpish.

Well, in another installment in ‘Tales From The 4Chan’ we can bring you a rumour that they might have found their director.

Now, I will not put a link on this site to 4Chan because it’s a horrid website and I don’t want anything to do with it.

Thankfully, someone posted the same information on Reddit, and I’m OK with Reddit.

Shaka King’s star is most definitely on the rise after he produced, wrote and directed the Oscar-nominated movie, Judas And The Black Messiah.

The film stars Daniel Kaluuya who is himself part of the Marvel family.

Judas And The Black Messiah has earned six nominations at this year’s Oscars, including Best Picture, with Stanfield and Kaluuya both being nominated for Best Supporting Actor.

Kaluuya has already won Best Supporting Actor at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Award, and was nominated at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and BAFTA Awards.

So, it seems as though King is now on Marvel’s radar and they want him for the Blade movie, which would make perfect sense to me.

Incidentally, Judas And The Black Messiah was also produced by Ryan Coogler, who’s very much a key part of Marvel now.
