Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page Now In The Running To Be The Next James Bond

Regé-Jean Page James Bond Bridgerton

It’s now been revealed that Bridgerton star, Regé-Jeane Page is in the running to be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig. This news comes from The Express who’ve reported that he now has odds of 20-1 to be cast as the next James Bond.

As far as I’m concerned, this would actually be really good cast. Page showed that he had class and swagger in the first season of Bridgerton and he’d certainly be the best-looking actor to play James Bond in a while. If cast, he would be the first black actor to be cast in the role, which would be progress in my book.

Regé-Jeane Page also helped to get these casting rumours moving by posting a video of himself as the Duke of Hasting in Bridgerton season with the caption: “Regency, royalty. Shaken and stirred.”

Could Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page be the next James Bond?

The 31-year-old British-Zimbabwean actor is certainly the right age and has the sort of look that cinema audiences would like to see as the next James Bond. He would definitely look perfect in a tuxedo.

I wonder whether he would end up being more of Roger Moore-type James Bond. That said, he does show some grit and his character is pretty dark in Bridgerton. He’s also shown that he’s not afraid of doing some more steamy love-making scenes with his fine work in Netflix’s new hit show.
