Bridgerton Season 1 has become quite a huge hit on Netflix and we’ve been informed that they’ve already greenlit Bridgerton Season 2. This comes to us from sources with close links to Netflix.
It was recently revealed that Bridgerton, which is the first Netflix project from Grey’s Anatomy and How To Get Away With Murder’s creator, Shonda Rhimes, has been doing really well with the streaming service. She signed an exclusive deal worth a reported $150 million, and it looks like her first series for the streaming service is now on course to hit 63 million streams.
The show’s been doing so well that Netflix has already greenlit Bridgerton Season 2, and according to my source, they’re working on finishing Season 2’s scripts and will start filming pretty soon.
Bridgerton Season 2 is in the works over at Netflix
Here’s what our source had to tell us about Season 2 being in development over at Netflix:
I can confirm that Bridgerton Season 2 is already in the works. We’re working on finishing off the scripts and will start shooting pretty soon. Can’t tell you when exactly, but it’ll start sooner rather than later – depending on lockdown rules in the UK.
This makes it pretty certain that we should be seeing Bridgerton Season 2 sooner rather than later. I’m thinking that it’ll be with us either towards the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022.
