Aquaman 2 Will Shoot This Summer Reveals Dolph Lundgren

It’s been revealed by Dolph Lundgren that Aquaman 2 will start shooting this summer, COVID-19 permitting. Hopefully, Aquaman 2 will get to start filming as soon as possible.

Dolph Lundgren played King Nereus in the first movie, and it sounds like he’ll be back. The film is set to hit cinemas on December 16th, 2022, which will be four years after the first movie came out.

James Wan is also directing the sequel film and story details are being kept under wraps for now, but we do know that the film will reunite Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) and Xebellian princess Mera (Amber Heard). Patrick Wilson will also be back as the villainous Ocean Master and Black Manta actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who days ago began prepping for Aquaman 2.

Here’s what Lundgren said about when Aquaman 2 will start shooting:

I may be doing Aquaman 2 this summer, shooting in London. And that’s coming out the following year in the theaters, they hope.

[Aquaman] was certainly a new experience. The only water I ever saw was in my bottle of Evian that I drank. There was no water on set. It was really very dry. So you hang in the harness all day — five, six, seven, eight hours a day — and you move your legs in a certain way, you talk, and you move around, and then your hair is added later in the computer. So it’s very, very tedious, but it’s a different experience. And it was fun to work with all the great actors — there’s [Willem] Dafoe, and Patrick Wilson, and of course, Jason Momoa.
