It’s been revealed that Robert Rodriguez is an executive producer on the upcoming Star Wars limited-series, The Book Of Boba Fett. This news was revealed by John Favreau himself during a recent appearance on GMA.
During this interview, Favreau also cleared up those rumours that The Book Of Boba Fett was going to be The Mandalorian Season 3. He clearly stated that they were both separate things and that The Book Of Boba Fett will be coming to Disney Plus December 2021.
This comes after Robert Rodgriguez revealed that he was actually a last-minute addition to the directing team on The Mandalorian Season 2. He was actually replacing another director whom he didn’t name.
Robert Rodriguez is an executive producer on The Book Of Boba Fett
Rodriguez is good friends with Jon Favreau and was asked to step in as the director of The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 6 – titled The Tragedy. It turned out to be a truly great episode in a season full of great episodes.
It was the moment when Grogu was taken by the Dark Troopers and also saw Boba Fett return in a very action-heavy episode. It remains to be seen whether Rodriguez will direct any of the episodes of The Book Of Boba Fett. It’s pretty obvious that he really understands the character and gets on well with everybody involved. We previously reported that The Book Of Bobs Fett limited series will be four episodes long. Here’s hoping one of those episodes is being directed by Robert Rodriguez.
