It’s recently been revealed that Netflix has officially given the greenlight for Locke & Key Season 3 which is fantastic news! This was revealed by Netflix themselves, and I for one cannot wait to see it. It will, that said, be coming after Season 2, which should be coming out soon.
Netflix has now officially confirmed that production on Locke & Key Season 2 is going to be wrapping up this week. Netflix has also now revealed that production on Locke & Key Season 3 is going to get underway immediately afterwards.
Locke & Key Season 2 is set to land on Netflix in 2021, and Season 3 should be with us in 2022. So, it sounds like we’re going to be getting a lot more of Locke & Key, which I think is one of Netflix’s better shows of late.
Locke & Key Season 3 has been announced by Netflix
Locke & Key is based on the comic book series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodríguez, the story follows “the Locke siblings after their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances. The three siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them.”
Brian Wright VP of Overall Deals for Netflix said in a statement:
Carlton and Meredith have built an incredible world in Locke and Key and we’re excited to have the Lockes return for more in the third season. I’m delighted to expand our creative partnership with Meredith Averill, a talented creator with a keen eye for best-in-class horror and supernatural storytelling.
Producer Meredith Averill added:
I’m incredibly grateful to have found a home at Netflix where I feel constantly supported, challenged and inspired. I look forward to continuing and expanding our relationship.
Producer Carlton Cuse said:
