Idris Elba Close To Overtaking James Norton In The Odds Of Becoming The Next James Bond

It’s been revealed that Idris Elba is now very close to overtaking James Norton as the favourite to be announced as the next James Bond.

This one of the biggest questions in pop culture today: who will replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond?

At the moment there are some favourites.

Those names are James Norton, Sam Heughan and Tom Hiddleston (for some reason).

Another name in the mix, even though he’s claimed he no longer wants to be attached to the James Bond role, is Idris Elba.

It’s been revealed by Ladbrokes (via The Express Online), that his odds of becoming the next Bond have been slashed to 6/1.

Elba was previously given odds of 10/1 t0 be the next Bond.

He’s now one of the favourites to become the next James Bond, and he’s only slightly behind the three main favourites.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Alex Apati commented on these odds: “Idris Elba is fast becoming a frontrunner in the James Bond betting with punters convinced he’ll be taking over from Daniel Craig.”

So, will Idris Elba replace Daniel Craig after No Time To Die?

I’m not so sure. I would love to see him play Bond, but at 47 years old, he’s only a few years younger than Craig.

I’m pretty sure that the producers would want to cast someone slightly younger.

As for the odds of the other actors on that list I mentioned earlier, James Norton is still the favourite to be cast as the next James Bond.

He’s at 2/1 on to be the next Bond.

Norton is closely followed by Sam Heughan and Tom Hiddleston who are both at 5/1.
