Good Omens Season 2 Officially In The Works

It’s been revealed by none other than Neil Gaiman himself that Amazon Studios have greenlit Good Omens Season 2.

He revealed this via his Twitter account and I am so happy that they are doing the second season.

The first season of Good Omens wasn’t overly well-received, yet I thought it was brilliant.

The series starred both David Tennant and Michael Sheen and it’s based on a book that Gaiman wrote with Terry Pratchet.

It wasn’t really clear whether they were making a Season 2 or not, and given the fact that Gaiman’s already got a lot of other projects on the go, it would have been understandable if Amazon decided to pass on it.

However, it seems as though there has been enough interest in Season 1 of the show and demand for Season 2 that Amazon thought it made sense to make it.

I think it could benefit from having new episodes of the second season drop weekly.

Just look at how much more popular The Boys Season 2 ended up being compared to its first season.

Here’s what Neil Gaiman had to say about Good Omens Season 2 being in the works over at Netflix:

What glorious (and dangerous) trouble will our favorite angel and demon find themselves in this time? Good news! #GoodOmens is returning for Season 2 on @PrimeVideo.
