It’s been revealed that Dwayne Johnson did actually meet with Marvel Studios and discuss a few ideas with them.

This was revealed by Black Adam’s producer, Hiram Garcia during a recent interview with Collider.

Garcia is Seven Bucks’ President of Production and did admit during the interview even with  Johnson and Marvel President, Kevin Feige, did meet, nothing serious ever came to fruition.

That said, they did bounce around some ideas, and I’m pretty sure that Marvel’s take on Hercules might have been one of them.

Getting to see Dwayne Johnson in a Marvel movie would have been epic.

However, he quickly gravitated towards the role of Black Adam and the rest – as they say – is history.

Here’s what Garcia revealed about Johnson and Feige bouncing around Marvel ideas:

DJ and Kevin have a great relationship and we’ve flirted around a few ideas before, but nothing serious. There’s a mutual admiration for what we each have been doing and what Kevin has built over there is truly incredible. Ultimately though for us, we’ve always been very committed to what we wanted to build with Black Adam. Black Adam was the character we wanted to bring to life and who we felt DJ was destined to play. Once we set our sites on this character over a decade ago it was hard to imagine DJ playing anyone else.
